Mobile Phone Ultrasound

Thomas RudkinsNews

An Israeli company has developed a device that allows an expectant mother to take an ultrasound of her baby by using her own smartphone.  This device developed by PulseNmore LTD promises to expedite the time and hassle of going to a clinic.

Tests have been performed in the US and Israel with approval still pending for public use.  Developers have said the advantage the device provides is both psychological and medical.  That is, if the mom is uncertain if the baby is fine, she can quickly find out herself without having to rush to the emergency room.

Technology like this can be another way to avoid hurried, desperate abortions.  Once a woman sees her child a very high percentage choose to parent or place their child for adoption.
